Charted twice, in 1961 and 1964, but never broke into Top 40.
Guess it was like Rock & Roll's anthem; everyone heard it!
No more monophonic version to put you to sleep, but, now, in
breathtaking Stereophonic sound, remastered by yours truly!!!...

I've had that stereo mix of "It Will Stand" in my collection for
years.

Uni thinks he's hot shit, but he's really cold diarrhea.

And remember, Dean, not all record companies are in favor of lopsided
stereo, with lead vocals on left or right stereo channels, I guess they
feel it's sacrilegious! Can't disappoint the mono fans of that
"original" sound!

Now, while DCC and Varese did a good job with The Olympics, they
failed to present their most popular Philly dance song, Mine
Exclusively, in Stereo, if at all! Probably because they failed to gain
licensing rights! Maybe not the best sounding stereo, and maybe backing
vocals enter a bit too early, but at least it has fresh sound without
that original at the bottom of a garbage can sound! Even Randy PNY
wouldn't know the difference, as with Bunny Sigler! His books failed
him! You know it as a Mirwood Records song, that's all. I know it is as
three recording sessions with various Takes to compile the song! Even
Walter would be impressed to hear it in Stereo on MY radio show, with a
bit of studio talk to boot!!!...

Your days in radio are over Dean. Just hang it up and let the someone
with real Soul Gold rule the airwaves!!! :-)

Minit? Cool! Bobby Womack, too! Absorbed, I guess, by EMI!

Thanks!

The original was on Minit, but the 1964 rerelease was on Imperial.

And if Janet Jackson were to record a version, it would be retitled
"Nip Slip".
