You're thinking of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" by Cher.
It's probably not the same one, because the writing credits are
different.

You're thinking of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" by Cher.
It's probably not the same one, because the writing credits are
different.

Guess you could called Joe Cuba's version an instrumental (little lyrics, Bang Bang, Beep Beep).

It's absolutely not the same one. Will, I think you might recognize the Joe
Cuba record if you heard it. It's been used in commercials and there have
been a few remakes ("Ahhhh....BEEP BEEP! Ahhhhhh....BEEP BEEP!") In the
days of "regional hits," this Latin record was a monster in NYC but didn't
do much in the rest of the country.
