"Three Hours" reportedly contains a number of alternate takes. I have
never confirmed that, but the Rhino Best Of is very good.

There are definitely two different versions of "Hot Little Mama" out there,
and I don't know which one is the "real" one.

Are there any remasterings that fix his out-of-tune guitar?

I understand. I have the feeling that I'd like his music
more if he had tuned his guitar.

There are many different tunings for guitar.

I take it you're not a big Sonic Youth aficionado?

As of today, these are my favorite songs by Sonic Youth:

01. Kool Thing
02. Drunken Butterfly
03. Youth Against Facism
04. Theresa's Sound World
05. Dripping Dream
06. Pattern Recognition
07. Titanium Expose
08. Sympathy For The Strawberry
09. Dirty Boots
10. One Hundred Per Cent

And these are my favorite songs by Johnny "Guitar" Watson:

01. Space Guitar
02. Hot Little Mama
03. Three Hours Past Midnight
04. Oh Baby
05. Too Tired
06. Gangster Of Love
07. Witchcraft
08. Gettin' Drunk
09. Motor Head Baby
10. Those Lonely Lonely Nights
